leggings are absolutely positively ace

I've been seeing leggings everywhere now. I remember wearing them a couple months ago with this print dress from Forever 21 at school and the other kids acted as though it was such a surreal act and steared clear of me. I found their low self-esteem quite amusing at that point, haha. The prints are endless with their amazing patterns and now that the weather is cooling down I can start wearing them.

My favorites are the French Connection and H&M leggings. Speaking of H&M, this affordable, fashionable clothing brand is opening up a store only a couple miles from my house in this mall that they're renovating. With the renovations comes new stores including H&M, Forever 21, Hot Topic, Vans, and several other shoe stores. I hope at Hot Topic I can find a decent tutu for myself throughout some of the hooker-type clothing. I'm ecstatic! Some adults were complaining about there not being a bookstore and they were insulting the stores and saying that all the teenagers are going to be there. Uh, last I heard that's where teenagers all over the country hang out and I'm sure there are other bookstores. People were saying that Forever 21 was bad, and yeah from the outside it may look a little different, but whenever I go to a mall with F21 I always see at least 10 people with bags from there. They have clothing for all ages and all styles and some really cool, funky stuff.

"quick go steal the mirror!"

I went thrifting today in an effort to find some vintage pieces for me's closet. Eh, it was OK. There were many trench coats (!!!!) but the sleeves were all too long. I hate being petite sometimes. However, I did manage to get a very cool coat and a pale blue jeans vest that adds a certain toughness to anything. So, whenever I wear it I shall put on a tough girl act, you better watch out... This one woman kept hogging the mirror and my mother kept saying, "Go now!" I really couldn't though, seeing as everytime I thought I had a chance and got excited she would just turn back and go use it again, grr. At last she left and I snagged it so quick I bet she got wiplash, hehe. And then she turned back once again and was surprised to see that I had finally gotten it. Haha, very fun.

Although I'm not sure I like how she put the outfit together I do really like the heels, vest, shades, and hat. Does this woman ever wear pants?

I realized now more than ever before I've been into fashion. Fashion isn't being trendy, it isn't having Fitch plastered across your chest, and most of all it isn't pleasing people. I'm in middle school where even though according to all that I hear I have enough confidence to wear what I want to wear. Usually you wait till high school but I'm one to break the cycle. I have a bunch of old mainstream stuff from last year, however I'm ready to start to try out new clothes. I'm not going to follow "what's hot". Breaking and bending the rules is the best part of fashion. This blog is basically about me changing styles, all the while never quite fitting in. The misfit is attempting fashion.
